Catherine Plaisant is a senior research scientist emerita in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.
Her research focuses on the entire interface development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design and evaluation. Plaisant’s work significantly advances technologies in areas like information visualization, medical informatics, and universal access.
