Jing Liu

Jing Liu is an assistant professor in education policy with an affiliate appointment in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies.

His research uses quantitative and data science methods to evaluate education policies that impact historically marginalized students, particularly in urban areas. Grounded in economic theory and policy analysis, Liu’s work addresses issues such as student absenteeism, exclusionary discipline, educator labor markets, school reform, and higher education.
