Nazifa Ahmed Moumi

Nazifa Ahmed Moumi is a bioinformatics engineer working in the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies. Her research is focused on bioinformatics, computational biology and machine learning as they relate to developing faster, more accessible tools to analyze vast amounts of genetic data. 

She is currently collaborating with MPower Professor Mihai Pop to design and implement computational pipelines and algorithms that can transform raw biological data into meaningful insights for researchers across disciplines.
