Biography: 

Eytan Ruppin is a professor of computer science and a member of the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.

Ruppin’s main area of expertise is in computational systems biology, with an emphasis on genome scale metabolic system modeling of human, microbial and plant metabolism. His lab projects have focused on the study of metabolic alterations in cancer and aging, which aimed to identify and explore novel disease biomarkers and drug targets in collaboration with pertaining experimental research groups.

Ruppin received his doctorate in computer science from Tel-Aviv University in 1993. He was formerly a professor in the Schools of Computer Science and Medicine at Tel-Aviv University.
