Tue Aug 05, 2014

Neil Spring, an associate professor of computer science with an appointment in UMIACS, was just recognized with an Association for Computing Machinery SIGCOMM Test of Time award.

The award recognizes a paper published 10 to 12 years in the past—either in Computer Communication Review or any SIGCOMM sponsored or co-sponsored conference—which is deemed to be outstanding, and whose contents are still vibrant and useful today.

Spring was recognized for his paper, "Measuring ISP Topologies with Rocketfuel," which he co-authored with Ratul Mahajan and David Wetherall.

He will receive the award at the annual ACM conference held Aug. 17–22 in Chicago, Ill.
