CBCB Advances New Knowledge Arising From the Genome Revolution

The Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (CBCB) is featured in a new video that highlights the center’s research, education and innovation.

Under the leadership of Eytan Ruppin, CBCB brings together experts in computer science, molecular biology, genomics, genetics, mathematics, statistics, and physics to advance new knowledge and discoveries arising from the genome revolution.

The center works closely with epidemiologists, geneticists and other health care professionals at the University of Maryland, Baltimore—as well as scientists and clinicians worldwide—to identify causes and offer solutions to serious health issues like cancer, diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, malaria and more.
