Varshney, Khuller, Duraiswami Discuss Future of Virtual Reality in Diamondback Article

Three UMIACS faculty—director Amitabh Varshney and professors Samir Khuller and Ramani Duraiswami—were featured in the UMD Diamondback student newspaper discussing the future of virtual and augmented reality research and education at Maryland.

“ … When you think about the mass media revolutions that have changed the world, there’s the printing press, recording, cinema, radio, TV, Internet and the mobile revolution. Virtual reality would be the eighth,” Varshney said.
