Biography: 

Lawrence Rosenblum is a visiting senior research scholar in UMIACS.

His research focuses on mobile augmented reality, scientific and uncertainty visualization, virtual reality displays, applications of virtual reality/augmented reality systems, and understanding human performance in graphics systems.

Rosenblum is a program director for graphics and visualization at the National Science Foundation, as well as director of virtual reality systems and research in the Information Technology division of the Naval Research Laboratory. In addition, he is the program officer for visualization and computer graphics at the Office of Naval Research.

Rosenblum received his doctorate in mathematics from Ohio State University in 1971.
