Student Advised by Nau Wins Outstanding Paper Award at ICAPS

Vikas Shivashankar, a computer science doctoral student advised by Dana Nau, a professor of computer science with an affiliate appointment in UMIACS, won the International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling (ICAPS) 2014 Outstanding Student Paper Award.

The paper, “Optimal Planning with Global Numerical State Constraints,” was co-authored by Nau and three other people in Australia. It was chosen out of 164 submissions.

Shivashankar, Nau and the other authors will be recognized at ICAPS June 21–26 in Portsmouth, N.H.
