Shneiderman’s Photos Featured in Online Exhibit

Feb 17, 2014

The Computer History Museum in Mountain View, Calif., set up an online exhibit featuring a collection of photographs taken by Ben Shneiderman, a professor of computer science and longstanding member of UMIACS.

Shneiderman also wrote a commentary on photograph accompanying the 22 photos that depict early computer science pioneers including Fred Brooks, Edgar F. “Ted” Codd and Edsger Dykstra, among many others.

Several of the photos were taken when these leaders visited the University of Maryland, while others were taken at conferences.
