In January 2008, Saif successfully defended his doctoral thesis, "Measuring Semantic Distance using Distributional Profiles of Concepts", in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, at the University of Toronto. His research was supervised by Dr. Graeme Hirst. Read more about his Ph.D. thesis here. Saif received his masters in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota under the guidance of Dr. Ted Pedersen. His bachelor's degree is in Electronics Engineering from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, University of Pune. He worked briefly at the TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), as an Assistant Systems Engineer, immediately after his undergraduate degree. |
