Dear Professor Duraiswami,

Cross-listing is actually not necessary in order for our students
to receive credit.  Indeed, students can include a number of out-of-dept
courses in their Plan of Study.   (As they should know from reading
our graduate handbook,) ECE students need to individually file the
appropriate form, duly signed by their advisor.
