About Me

I am a fourth year PhD student in the department of Computer Science at Univ. of Maryland College Park. I work as a research assistant with David Doermann at Language and Media Processing Lab., UMIACS. My research interests lie in the areas of Document Image Analysis and retrieval, Computer vision and Machine learning. I have been working on following problems:

  • Ranking and retrieval of document images
  • Extraction of handwritten textlines in document images
  • Content based image retrieval(CBIR)
  • Sharpness estimation and enhancement of document and scene images
