Short Bio
I am a post-doctoral fellow of the Geographical Sciences Department of the University of Maryland, College Park.

I earned my Bachelor and Master degree in Computer Science at the University of Genova (Italy), in 2008 and 2010, respectively. I started my PhD in 2011 under the supervision of Professor Leila De Floriani. During Fall 2011, I've been a visiting PhD student at the University of Maryland collaborating with Kenneth Weiss.

In 2015, I got my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Genova defending a thesis on "A spatio-topological approach to the representation of simplicial complexes and beyond". I have been a post-doctoral fellow in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park from April 2015 to June 2016. I am a member of ACM society.

My research interests include spatial data structures, scientific visualization, computational topology, geometric modeling, data bases, information systems and high performance computing.
