Reading Reactions

    Instruction:

• Each member of the class must email their reactions on the current week's reading each Sunday evening to:

• Commentaries should be concise (~200 words), addressing the following issues:
• What are the problems that the papers are addressing?
• What is the proposed approach? Do the ideas make sense?
• How did they prove that their ideas work? Are the results significant? Is their evaluation/proof fair/convincing?
• How would you approach the problems (e.g., find an application for their ideas, or extend their method, or propose an alternative method, or address different aspects of the problem entirely)?
• Other insights/questions inspired by the reading are also welcomed. For instance, you are encouraged to do further readings on the topic (based on the references the assigned papers provided, for example) and give additional comments on these readings as well.
• By Tuesday morning each week, the leader of the current week's reading should email a synopsis of all submitted reactions to the class at :
