Who am I? |
||
Huanfeng is my first name. If you feel it is hard to pronunce it, my friend usually call me Xiao Ma, where Ma is my last name. I just graduated in December, 2005, with a Ph.D. degree awarded by Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Maryland. As a research assistant, I was working in the Language and Media Processing Laboratory (LAMP) under Professor Rama Chellappa and Dr. David Doermann. My dissertation title is "Adaptive Analysis and Processing of Structured Multilingual Documents", other research interest including: computer vision, pattern recognition, image and signal processing, medical image understanding. For details, please go to my research page. I got my B.S. degree from Northwestern Polytechnical University and my M.S. degree from Beijing Institute of Technology, both in China. My master thesis "Volume Estimation and 3D Visualization of the Abnormal Spot in Heart Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Images" won the best master thesis of BIT. Before coming to UMD, I've been in Department of Electrical Engineering of University of Hawaii at Manoa for 2 years, where my research topic was "3D Range Image Registration". Although passed the qualify exam, I still chose to tranfer to UMD. There were many reasons for me to make such a choice, if you really want to know, please send me email:-)
