Comments on the IL0->IL1 Manual

Section I

OCR: It looks like we need to enter the .txt file name extension, otherwise nothing happens -- anyone else have this experience?

OCR: Maybe explain the difference between that loading procedure and th eone through the "File" menu? Is there a difference?

Section V

OCR: How about saying next to section title: "(Works only when Tred loaded)"

OCR: Current text: "These is an entire manual devoted to specifying exactly how this graph should look for any particular sentence. You should be familiar with that manual." -- do the annotators really need to know IL0 that well? Can't we just tell them not to modify it?

OCR: last para of Section V -- what is the semantics of the future tense here?

Section VI

OCR: if we go with the IL0, IL0->IL1 option, I think we should be much more restrictive about structure changing. Hopefully, there will be fewer errors once real annotators work on this (rather than me at 2am). Changing structure is really only a last resort.

Section VII

OCR: current text: The second part involves annotating dependencies of verbs to indicate their semantic role in the action or event. Change "dependencies" to "dependents".

Section VIII

OCR: I think we should say "Use X, Y, Z" rather than "X, Y, Z may be useful". The annotators should be as constrained as possible.
