MaHESH RAMACHANDRAN

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Dept. of Electrical Engineering in the University of Maryland College Park. I work in the field of Computer Vision, Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. My thesis advisor is Prof. Rama Chellappa.

In the summer of 2008, I interned in Google Inc., Mountain View, CA in the Streetview group. In the summer of 2007, I interned in GE Research, Niskayuna, NY in the Visualization and Computer Vision Lab.

I previously got my Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park. I got my Bachelors degree also in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.

I was also a visiting student in the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai.

 

I am no longer in the job market. Thanks to all the employers for all the favorable responses/decisions to my job applications.

Whats new?

· I will be joining Qualcomm Inc as a Senior Engineer in their Research division in San Diego CA soon after I graduate.

· As an update to the SFM paper/work, I have some cool computation time and convergence results that demonstrate FBSFM’s speed over Sparse Bundle Adjustment in specific practical scenarios.

· I am currently working on a project on Compressive Video Acquisition and Processing. It is not yet listed in my project list (upcoming).
