International Conference on Computer Vision

January 4-7 1998

Information for authors - CDROM preparation

In addition to the hard copy proceedings that will be distributed at
the conference, we are also planning to distribute a CDROM version of
the proceedings at no cost to you which will contain your electronic
submission.

In order to do this we need you to deposit the following IN ONE TAR
COMPRESSED FILE. See instructions below.
- - A PostScript version of your paper into an ftp site here at
Maryland.
- - An abstract in the following format (see format below).
- - Optionally, any audio, video or image file. (see instructions below).

What to do with your electronic submission

Please place your submission into the ftp site by October 22, 1997.
Papers not received by that date may not be included in the CD ROM

	prompt> ftp ftp.umiacs.umd.edu
	Login: anonymous
	Password:

	ftp> cd /incoming/ICCV
	ftp> binary
ftp> put paper.tgz ** see below for how to NAME YOUR PAPER **
	ftp> quit

Now, if we are going to have any chance of getting this right it is
important that you follow the following conventions for naming the file
containing your postscript paper.

If your paper is the i'th presentation in session a.b, then name your
file a_b_i.tgz. As an example, P.H.S.Torr will name the file
3_1_3.tgz. If your paper is the i'th paper in the poster session Pj,
then name your file Pj_i.tgz. For example, Mark S. Drew will name the
file as p2_2.tgz. The program is online, and probably most of you have
accessed it already. But for those of you who haven't, go to the
conference home page
	http://www.umiacs.umd.edu/users/lsd/iccv/index.html

and click on the preliminary program under the conference menu. Scan
it for your paper.
