The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (Serbian: Savezna Republika Jugoslavija ), the successor state to the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, was formally proclaimed on April 27, 1992. The new state consists of the republics of Montenegro (Serbian: Crna Gora ) and Serbia (Serbian: Srbija ). The federal capital is Belgrade (Serbian: Beograd ), in Serbia
