Novi Sad
Novi Sad is the capital of Serbian's province Vojvodina. Novi Sad
traces its origins back to 1694 when the Petrovaradin fortress was
built, and the Austrian army established a bridgehead on the left
bank of the Danube. Though insufficiently researched, the Novi Sad
area has been a place of habitation, judging from archeological
finds, since the stone age.
