FOCUS is a scalable and secure environment for establishing a Global Digital Format Registry (GDFR) to capture essential information about digital formats.
Overall architecture of FOCUS is based on extensible and proven web technologies including LDAP and web services.
FOCUS is part of the Library of Congress NDIIPP DIGARCH project, "Robust Technologies for Automated Ingestion and Long-Term Preservation of Digital Information," with Dr. JaJa as the principal investigator.
