T-REX does not currently automatically extract the data that STOP uses. It does process over 130K articles per day, but focuses on extracting information about violent events worldwide and tribal information. T-REX hopes to eventually extract the information used by STOP automatically. STOP currently uses data collected by the Minorities at Risk project developed by our colleagues at the Center for International Development and Conflict Management (CIDCM) at Maryland under sponsorship in part from the National Center for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism.
