Global Remotely Sensed Database

Most of the efforts that make up the Grand Challenge for Land Cover Dynamics have to do with the analysis of remotely-sensed imagery. In short, given an image derived from some orbital sensor's radiometry, answer interesting questions about the earth. Left unanswered is where we get the image that we wish to analyze.

Our solution is to provide a database of level 1 remotely-sensed products capable of producing level 2-like imagery from spatio-temporal queries. To learn more about requirements and design issues for the database, try some of the following:
