Integrated Feasibility Experiments in TIDES

Allison Powell (CNRI)
April 19, 2006, 11:00am, AVW 2120

In this talk I will present results and lessons learned from the Integrated Feasibility Experiments conducted during the DARPA TIDES program. A prototype system provided machine translated documents as well as search, clustering, summarization and information extraction tools with which to access those documents. Our experiments focused on measuring user efficiency and effectiveness when using those tools to complete information seeking tasks.
