Abstract

The model based approaches aim to derive the movement of the torso and/or the legs. The distinction of a structural approach is one which uses static parameters illustrated in Fig. 6.1(a) whereas a model can be the (relative) motion of the angles (α, β, and ϕ) between the limbs, shown in Fig. 6.1(b). As earlier, these angles can also be measured relative to vertical.
