Alternative modes of computer use are suggested and the role of psychologically oriented controlled experimentation is emphasized. Research methods and recent experimental results are briefly reviewed. %B Proceedings of the 18th annual meeting on Association for Computational Linguistics %S ACL '80 %I Association for Computational Linguistics %C Stroudsburg, PA, USA %P 139 - 141 %8 1980/// %G eng %U http://dx.doi.org/10.3115/981436.981478 %R 10.3115/981436.981478
