Biography: 

Doug Oard is a professor in the College of Information Studies (iSchool).

His research interests include eDiscovery, cross-language information retrieval, and speech retrieval.

Oard was on sabbatical at the University of California, Berkeley, and Melbourne, Australia, for the 2009/2010 school year.

He received his doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
