We have used Java to design the GUI of BRIDGE. The backend functions have been implemented using C/C++.

The development platform is Windows and Unix for different modules. We have deployed our system on a Windows desktop PC.

We have used following softwares / modules for the implementation of BRIDGE.

• ScanSoft SDK: For OCR
• PixTools: As a Scanning Software
• Digester: An open source utility from Jakarta Commons; for XML parsing
• Lucene: For search operation
