Dorr Joins IHMC as Associate Director, Senior Scientist

Bonnie Dorr, professor of computer science and member of UMIACS, has joined the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC) as an associate director and senior research scientist.

Dorr, who will retain collaborations with the University of Maryland and UMIACS as emeritus professor, is a leading expert in the field of natural language processing.

She expects to continue her groundbreaking work in deep language understanding and semantics, large-scale multilingual processing (including machine translation), and summarization at IHMC’s Ocala, Fla. Campus, while making trips back to the Washington D.C. region to collaborate with colleagues here.
