Dana Dachman-Soled, an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering with appointments in UMIACS and the Maryland Cybersecurity Center (MC2), has been named a recipient of the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award from Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU).

Dachman-Soled was one of 35 recipients selected for the award out of a pool of 134 applicants.

The $5,000 award from ORAU will be matched by UMD to further Dachman-Soled’s research, which encompasses a broad range of problems in cryptography, including security against so-called “physical attacks,” secure computation, and foundational problems.
