This class explores three different aspects of cloud computing: distributed data crunching with MapReduce, interactive Web-based applications with Ajax, and renting computing cycles. How are these threads all related? Click here to find out! This course uses Amazon AWS for programming "in the clouds", and Cloud⁹, a library for Hadoop that I've been developing for this course and to support my own research.
